Chic Moon Bar - 61 floors above bustling Bangkok
The adventure begins the minute you walk in The Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok. A most gracious staff, in a beautifully appointed lobby, greets you. Everything is first-class and never pretentious. We took the express elevator to the top and stepped out to probably one of the most breathtaking views on the planet. Just a short walk up another flight of stairs and you a treated to a 360-degree view of Bangkok from the open air Vertigo Restaurant and Moon Bar, 61 floors high. This use to be a helicopter pad and was converted to the first rooftop restaurant and bar in Bangkok. There are others like it but the service and friendly staff really impressed us here. You can just come for just for drinks or stay and enjoy a romantic dinner!
Vertigo Sunset - Signature Drink
We started with the refreshing signature drink, “Vertigo Sunset” concocted of Malibu, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and limejuice.
Lobster Spring Rolls
For the appetizer we tried the tasty lobster spring rolls made with mango, and mesclun greens.
Duck Canfit
Our signature dish was duck canfit, with sautéed onion, potato, braised red cabbage and orange jus. Other signature dishes include, roasted snow fish, tenderloin, wagyu, and rosemary scented over roasted rack of lamb.
Caraibe chocolate mousse
For dessert we choose caraibe chocolate mousse, with brandy marinated morello cheery, cherry jelly, and on chocolate crunch sponge. Put this together with good company and a spectacular view of Bangkok, and you have a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely bring your camera and capture the moment!
