(Los Angeles) Project by Project (PbP) will host its 10th annual tasting benefit, Plate by Plate, at the breathtaking Vibiana Cathedral on Saturday, August 4, 2012. More than 30 of Southern California’s finest New American, international, and fusion restaurants, as well as 15 exceptional vintners, brewers, and beverage purveyors, will unite for this one night only foodie benefit. The evening will include savory and tantalizing food and drinks, live entertainment, a quick fire chef challenge featuring Top Chef’s Marcel Vigneron vs. a surprise chef, and for the first time ever, a Plate by Plate cocktail challenge, sponsored by St. Germain Liqueur; the competing mixologists are Devon Espinosa (Ink, Pour Vous), Gia St. George (City Tavern), and Chris Hewes (Library Bar @ the Roosevelt Hotel).

“I've been a supporter of PbP since I started in LA. Participating in the event is a way I can show thanks to everyone for supporting me and for them continuing to give back to the Asian community. We are all excited to be part of the event again this year,” said Chef Ricardo Zarate of Picca & Mo-Chica.

About Project by Project (PbP)
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, PbP is dedicated to building a legacy by developing leaders and strengthening communities through philanthropic work. Founded in 1997, PbP’s mission is carried out through partnerships with existing non-profit organizations each year to support a shared cause. This national organization has three hubs in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and in 2012, celebrates 15 years of service.
PbP Los Angeles--founded in 2001--celebrates its rich history of community involvement by actively enacting its three-pronged mission of raising awareness, fundraising and promoting volunteerism in the Asian American community. Project by Project’s important role in the Los Angeles community involves bridging the gap between the resources provided by young professionals of all backgrounds and the social causes that can greatly benefit from them. Since 1998, PbP Los Angeles has raised significant funds for many causes and has engaged volunteers to collaborate on high-level projects that break the traditional notions of volunteerism. Last year, PbP Los Angeles collaborated with the Asian Youth Center (AYC) and together built a successful partnership helping the cause for youth and education in the city.
